Pakistan
(October 2025)

Distribution Overview
Our second distribution in Pakistan in early October 2025 was our second ever distribution, and many people arrived for the distribution, given the situation in Pakistan at the time. The country was recovering from frequent extreme flooding and the heat wave earlier that year, which created food shortages due to farms being devastated often.
To fund this distribution, we raised over $3,000 (in-person and online) and ended up giving away all the food packages we had prepared. We were able to help 500+ people and 70+ families during this distribution, marking a great start to our mission to fight food insecurity!
Story Behind Distribution
Pakistan 2025
In 2025, Pakistan faced several extreme crises, starting with the heatwave it experienced at the start of the year from April-June, where temperatures were significantly above the seasonal average, even reaching 113°F (45°C) in some areas. These extreme temperatures resulted in crop failures, leading to lower yields from farms and creating an alarming issue of food insecurity due to a shortage. Later on in the year, millions were displayed as a result of extreme flooding that was triggered by frequent heavy rains, which continued for several months. Many farms were devastated by these events, and many families were at risk of severe malnutrition due to the shortages all across the country.

Preparation & Distribution

Starting in mid-September, we began working on our second distribution to Pakistan as we continued fundraising efforts and funds received from the summer to help purchase daily essentials like rice and vegetable oil to be packaged to Pakistan in late September. However, extreme flooding in Pakistan delayed our distribution and created a great inconvenience in establishing a location to set up the food collection for people. Eventually, we were able to make the distribution possible in early October as the flooding subsided. In this distribution, over 500 people were helped as over 70 packages were given out, helping 70+ families as a result for at least 1-2 months to recover during the unstable period created by the flooding.
What do food packages consist of?
Each food package has ingredients that were in total purchased for $20, which was also due to the help of several stores kindly helping sponsor some of the items found in the packages.
To the right is a video demonstrating the various food items packed that will fit the needs of a family for 1-2 months.
